Job summary

IMI plc is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Technician I to support assembly and packaging under supervision at our Palmer, MA site. This position builds foundational manufacturing knowledge and emphasizes safety, quality, documentation, traceability, and standard work.

You'll follow current drawings, perform simple manual tasks, and maintain a clean, audit-ready workspace while meeting daily output targets and participating in handoffs with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read work instructions.
• No prior manufacturing experience required; prior assembly experience is beneficial.
• Foundational knowledge of workplace safety, quality-at-the-source, and documentation.
• Ability to read English work instructions and labels, count, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to perform repetitive work and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow HSE requirements and stop unsafe conditions.
• Work to drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform simple manual assembly, labeling, kitting, packaging and cleaning.
• Locate and follow current work instructions with guidance.
• Conduct visual checks and identify obvious defects.
• Maintain a clean, audit-ready work area and follow standard work.
• Communicate shift status and support handoffs across teams.
