Job summary

Divergent, based in Los Angeles, is seeking a Learning & Workforce Development Specialist to build workforce capability for Advanced Manufacturing by translating business needs into scalable learning solutions.

You will design role-based curricula, lead end-to-end instructional design, and analyze LMS data to drive measurable outcomes while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. Collaborative, fast-paced environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning sciences, organizational development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, organizational development, instructional design, or related discipline, including independent ownership of complex learning projects.
• Experience administering learning programs and working with LMS data, including assignments, completions, assessments, curricula, audience rules, data validation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Manufacturing leaders, SMEs, People partners, and employees to diagnose performance and capability needs and recommend interventions.
• Design role-based learning architectures, curricula, pathways, and qualification plans tied to business outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end instructional design for complex technical and professional learning with adult-learning principles; create design documents, storyboards, facilitator guides, learner materials, assessments, and digital experiences.
• Convert complex manufacturing concepts into accessible learning experiences with quality and safety alignment.
• Establish measurement plans and analyze LMS data to identify trends; communicate findings through reports or dashboards.
• Maintain data quality for LMS programs, curricula, audiences, assignments, and reporting logic; implement corrections as needed.
• Lead small projects and pilots from discovery to launch, managing scope, milestones, and risks.
• Facilitate workshops and train-the-trainer sessions; coach SMEs on instructional practices.
