Job summary

Autocam/NN Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive robust launches and continuous improvements across our precision component plant. You will partner with product teams to develop standardized procedures, document control, and cost standards while shaping capital equipment plans and supporting installation and ramp-up.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to build standardized procedures and documentation for consistent, high-quality, low-cost manufacturing.
• Shape capital equipment plans; provide technical support through purchase, installation, and ramp‑up.
• Engineer and refine manufacturing processes and tooling for current production and new product introductions (NPI).
• Lead APQP activities and continuous improvement initiatives using the Project Launch Guide and APS.
• Author and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and cost standards.
• Own cost modeling: quote new parts and update existing customer quotations.
• Develop people: train operators on machine operations, SPC, reading documentation, and improving the process.
• Translate prints to practice: read technical drawings and apply GD&T to processes and inspection.
• Ensure all activities align with our Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
