Job summary

Safran DSI Optronics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to advance manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis and Lean Six Sigma methods. You will implement production changes, develop tooling and test stations, and collaborate with design and supplier quality to address nonconformance and qualify new products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, with proficiency in SolidWorks, Altium, LabVIEW, and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing facility experience.
• Experience with imaging systems, range finders and LASER aiming.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Altium, LabVIEW or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods using Lean Six Sigma and related tools.
• Investigate new technologies to reduce touch time and yield loss.
• Implement production changes with DOE, data analysis and ROI studies.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, test stations and supporting software.
