Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to work in Denton, Texas.
Provide Manufacturing Engineering support for chassis and powertrain systems including engine installation, transmission, driveline, exhaust, fuel systems, cooling systems, frame-mounted components, and related manufacturing processes. Studies facilities and production processes, making recommendations to improve production efficiency, enhance process capability, improve product/process quality, and reduce manufacturing costs under general supervision.
Core Functions
Partner with Design Engineering to provide DFMA input, participate in design reviews, and support DFMEA/PFMEA activities.
Develop, validate, and implement manufacturing processes for chassis and powertrain systems.
Drive manufacturing readiness and successful product launches by coordinating activities with suppliers, engineering teams, and production plants, including prototype, pilot, and production builds.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, ergonomics, automation, error-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and root cause corrective action (RCCA).
