Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to drive development and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies across diverse products and production processes.

You will collaborate with project, mechanical, electrical, robotics, controls, and software engineers to improve throughput, quality, and efficiency while applying TRL/MRL frameworks. This role reports to the Director, AG Advanced Mfg Engng and is onsite in East Aurora, NY with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field; Master’s or other advanced degree is a plus.
• 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial robotics, automation, or control systems; manufacturing environment preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of TRL and MRL concepts and frameworks.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, test and implement advanced manufacturing technologies across diverse products and production processes.
• Communicate and manage technical requirements with internal and external collaborators and suppliers for successful project development and execution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturing research organizations, universities and suppliers for Advanced Manufacturing.
• Plan, develop, and report on Advanced Manufacturing projects from early to late stages to production implementation.
• Implement TRL and MRL frameworks into project planning and execution.
• Interphase with Moog employees across departments, sites and divisions to understand business needs and opportunities.
• Support manufacturing improvement activities resulting in productivity gains, quality improvements or reduced variation.
