Job summary

Fisher Barton in Loves Park, IL seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electrical, PLCs, hydraulics and mechanical systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility systems, and develop maintenance instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma OR 2 years experience as a maintenance technician; or equivalent
• Proficient in all Maintenance Technician 2 skills per site matrix
• Experience maintaining and repairing Hydraulics and Mechanical device systems
• Strong technical skills and problem solving
• Read and follow instructions and ensure quality
• Read, write, and communicate English effectively
• Broad experience maintaining Electrical, Hydraulics and Mechanical devices
• Develop and perform less routine PMs
• Troubleshoot basic facility and emergency maintenance problems

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and quality procedures and ethics
• Read PM procedures, interpret drawings, and understand trends
• Inspect, test, measure, repair, and replace mechanical equipment
• Complete daily maintenance tasks
• Log time and PM results using a computer
• Operate Preventive Maintenance System tasks
• Maintain maintenance documentation
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering to improve safety and efficiency
• Train Maintenance Technician team members
• Troubleshoot PLC problems and diagnose faults
• Drive predictive maintenance using math and trend analysis
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping
