Compass Group USA in College Station, TX is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician (TAMU CC) to perform a variety of skilled maintenance duties and lead a project team. The role requires 1 year of experience and offers 2nd shift hours with competitive pay and benefits.

Location at TAMU CC with opportunities across other district locations; online applications accepted. A valid driver’s license and journeyman credentials are favorable, with a comprehensive benefits package and same-day pay

Competenze

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Master license in one trade or two of the following Journeyman Electrical License or Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or a Journeyman Plumber License, etc.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Assists in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems, sterilizers, sprinkler and standpipe systems, transport systems, electronic signaling systems, fire alarm systems and similar specialty equipment items with appropriate training, certification skills and licensing requirements as needed.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads, comprehends and transmits complicated detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other members of the department.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; makes punch lists.
• Reports on and repairs discrepancies as assigned.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Makes recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
• Serves as a member of facility emergency response team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Schedule: Full time schedule; days may vary, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm or 4:00 pm to 12:30 am. 2nd shift. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: 1 year of prior experience in maintenance is required.
• Pay Range: $16.00per hour to$22.00 per hour.
