Job summary

The Advanced Lung Transplant Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) at Baylor University Medical Center – Dallas provides specialized care for adults with advanced lung disease undergoing evaluation and transplantation. Working within a multidisciplinary transplant program, the APP participates in inpatient management, peri-transplant care, and long-term follow-up.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Texas RN licensure or compact privilege; current Texas APRN licensure; AGACNP-BC/ACNP-BC; BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Registration as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient rounds for transplant candidates and recipients.
• Coordinate care with transplant team across disciplines.
• Order, collect, and interpret labs, imaging, and pulmonary tests.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for post-transplant patients.
• Counsel patients and families about transplant candidacy and long-term care.
