Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Paramedic to join our Medical Transport team in an on-site role. The incumbent will provide pre-hospital level care with ascendant responsibility, in alignment with Georgia Department of Public Health protocols, and will support a wide age range from neonate to geriatric.

The role requires Paramedic certification with ACLS and PALS, as well as BLS and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• State Paramedic certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all department and hospital regulations and protocols.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emergency medical care for pre-hospital patients.
• Keeps emergency vehicle clean, fueled, and stocked at all times.
• Operates vehicle safely and professionally and follows laws on ambulance operation.
• Maintains vehicle equipment and retrieves equipment left at hospital.
• Dresses in prescribed uniform as directed by NGHS and Medical Transport policies.
• Completes all paperwork accurately and promptly before end of shift.
• Communicates verbally in accordance with Medical Transport and NGHS policies.
