Qualifications

• Georgia Paramedic certification is required.
• Firefighter I Certification must be obtained within one year.
• NPQ Hazardous Materials Awareness Certification must be obtained within one year.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine the type of medical emergency and provide field ALS care.
• Assist in fire suppression and hazardous materials/technical rescue scenes.
• Inspect and operate ambulance and equipment to ensure readiness.
• Prepare incident and patient reports and maintain equipment logs.
• Participate in prevention programs and public safety education.
• Complete required training for skill maintenance and career development.
