Job summary

Camin Cargo Control seeks a Laboratory Technician II to perform intermediate to advanced testing on crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. You will ensure results meet customer specifications and support procedures development.

Applicants should have a chemistry-related degree and at least 3 years in an oil and gas lab, with strong data interpretation, instrumentation knowledge, and attention to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of petroleum products and chemical analysis.
• Familiarity with ASTM, API, and ISO testing standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate and advanced laboratory tests on crude oil, refined petroleum, petrochemical products, and quality control samples.
• Review and interpret data; prepare detailed reports for cross‑functional teams.
• Analyze and interpret test results to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare samples and reagents; label, store, and track them.
• Enter test data into the company’s internal software system accurately.
• Assist in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist in audits and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
• Be available during non-working hours as required by the Laboratory Manager/Operations Department.
