Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-time Cytogenetics Laboratory professional for the Core Lab. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or life sciences and involves accessioning and processing specimens with CAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; life sciences preferred.
• Accessions and registers specimens; follows CAP requirements.
• Rotating weekend/holiday coverage; 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Accurately accessions and registers specimens for processing and testing.
• Maintains high quality and productivity as required by department.
• Follows designated procedures for labeling and processing; sort and deliver specimens to technical areas as assigned.
• Prepares solutions, reagents and supplies as assigned.
• Operates all necessary equipment in designated laboratory.
• Answers phone and paging system as needed.
• Follows College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements.
