Job summary

Lennox in Carrollton, TX is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer for the Advanced Technology Group in the commercial HVAC sector. You will help design, analyze, and prototype next-generation HVACR systems with emphasis on energy efficiency, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include CFD/FEA simulations, design reviews, and collaboration with controls, electrical, materials, and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with HVACR system architecture and components.
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Hands-on prototyping, lab testing, and data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, analysis, and prototyping of HVACR components and systems.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, materials, and software teams.
• Conduct CFD/FEA and thermodynamic simulations for performance assessment.
• Evaluate materials and processes to improve manufacturability.
• Develop and execute test plans for lab validation and performance.
• Participate in design reviews, DFM, and risk assessment.
