Job summary

Candidates must have an Operating Engineers License, an EPA-certified HVAC credential, and a NJ driver’s license if needed for mobility.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years experience in operation, maintenance, repair, and adjustment of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration systems.
• Driver's license valid in New Jersey if vehicle operation is necessary.
• Operating Engineers License of appropriate grade and type issued by NJ Department of Labor.
• Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Certification of appropriate level.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand English sufficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, maintenance, adjustment of boilers, motors, pumps, rooftop units, and climate control.
• Operate, maintain, repair motors, pumps, blowers, air handlers, exhausts, and related controls in rooftop units and boilers.
• Supervise preventive maintenance and safety measures.
• Order, receive, store, safeguard, and supervise use of equipment, materials, supplies, and tools.
• Maintain records and files; oversee on-the-job safety.
• Learn to utilize electronic/manual recording systems used by the agency.
