Southland Industries, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Building Automation Systems technician to perform routine maintenance, complex repairs, and installation for large commercial HVAC equipment in Houston.

You will troubleshoot BAS software (Carrier I-Vu, Johnson Controls FX), read blueprints, and ensure safety and EPA compliance. Must have five years of BAS experience, OSHA-10, a valid Texas license, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Formación

• Five-year apprenticeship or equivalent technical schooling is preferred.
• At least five years of experience maintaining and operating commercial HVAC Building Automation Systems.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.
• OSHA-10 certification required or to be obtained within six months of hire.
• Basic working knowledge of computer-based building control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, layout plans and wiring diagrams.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, repair, and install BAS for large commercial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot Carrier I-Vu and Tridium-based Johnson Controls software.
• Use test equipment to commission and analyze control systems and equipment.
• Calibrate hardware components such as sensors, transmitters, thermostats and drives.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document activities.
• Assist with scope development, technical analysis, upgrades and retrofits.
