Qualifications

• Four academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation such as biological science or chemistry
• Successful completion of two academic years with at least 24 semester hours in Chemistry/biological science with 12-month histopathology or cytotechnology training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable for entry level

Responsibilities

• Maintain specimen integrity from accessioning through processing.
• Perform grossing of biopsy specimens and assist Pathologist.
• Prepare and process Non-Gyn (Body Fluids), Gyn, and FNAs specimens. Deliver diagnostic staining and evaluation.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and maintain quality control and assurance activities
