The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Histopathology Technician at the GS-7 (Advanced) level to join the Anatomic Pathology (Histology) section. The incumbent provides authoritative advice, implements Histology functions, and serves as the local expert in the Histology area.

One year of experience in a health care field demonstrating ability to perform the work or understanding of the work.
Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry or equivalent histopathology training.
Equivalent combination of experience and education acceptable for entry level.

Responsabilidades

Provide authoritative consultation in the Histology section of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory.
Implement and maintain Histology functions and workload recording in compliance with standards.
Serve as the local expert for Histology and guide staff on complex procedures.
Assist with quality control, validation of methodologies, and instrument troubleshooting.
