Qualifications

• One year of experience in a health care field that demonstrates ability to perform the work or understanding of the work
• Bachelor's degree with courses related to biology or chemistry
• Two academic years plus 12-month histopathology training or cytotechnology
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

Responsibilities

• Performs a broad range of laboratory procedures involving anatomic pathology: surgical, autopsy, and cytopathology
• Performs advanced and complex laboratory procedures and troubleshooting
• Maintains and documents optimal function of laboratory equipment and QA activities
• Train staff and students in histopathology techniques
