Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to patients with advanced heart failure including cardiogenic shock.
• Evaluate and manage heart transplant candidates and recipients.
• Evaluate and manage mechanical circulatory support (LVAD, tMCS, and ECMO) candidates and recipients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Contribute to clinical research and education initiatives within the division.

Advanced Heart Failure Physician Opening | Baylor Scott & White | Downtown Dallas
Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in Dallas is currently looking for an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to work within the largest hospital system in the state of Texas. Since our first heart transplant in 1986, BUMC has become one of the highest volume transplant and LVAD centers in UNOS Region 4. We have performed over 1,300 heart transplants and 700 LVAD implantations while also offering the shortest wait time to transplant in Texas. We are actively engaged in clinical research with over 40 active trials with various support. We are also part of the Baylor Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute, one of the largest multi-specialty transplant centers in the country.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled early or mid-career Cardiologist to join our team in the Section of Advanced Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Transplant Cardiology.

Full-time with The Heart Hospital Medical Group (THHMG) - the employment arm of Baylor Scott & White.

Faculty appointment with Texas A&M Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine is available to interested candidates.
