Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Florida is seeking an Advanced Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies, EGD, ERCP and related techniques. You will support patient care, ensure cleaning and maintenance of endoscopes, complete documentation logs, prepare rooms, transport patients, and help with room turnover.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification through the American Heart Association, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGD, ERCP and related techniques.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all endoscopes and complete documentation logs and records.
• Assist the RN with patient care including admission, setting up rooms, transport, patient recovery and room turnover.
• Assist nurses and physicians with GI procedures and stocking rooms with equipment and supplies.
• Change chemical sterilants and clean scope washers.
• Assess endoscopes daily, report damage, and coordinate repairs.
• Transport specimens as needed.
• Make pre-op calls to obtain preliminary information.
