Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. in the United States seeks a Field Service Technician II to perform maintenance, diagnostics, installation, and commissioning on gas compressor packages, under limited supervision.

You will learn from experienced technicians and contribute to safe, reliable customer service in the field. Responsibilities include submitting reports, leading junior technicians, diagnosing engine and compressor issues, and supporting start-up tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical experience preferred.
• 5+ years applicable field service experience.
• Knowledge of CAT GERP and similar OEM software.
• Experience on natural gas compressor packages with understanding of components, controls, and adjustments.
• CAT/Waukesha certifications (Gas I/II, 3500 ADEM III/IV, 3500ULB/J) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, and other paperwork daily.
• Provide basic leadership and training to new Field Service Technician I and Trainee.
• Diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently.
• Assist supervisor with materials and personnel planning.
• Complete diagnostics and repairs of compressors, engines and controls in the field with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, basic controls, and unit control panels.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new units and start-up inspections.
• Perform measurements and inspections using precision tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as required.
• Occasional travel, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental rules and company policies.
