Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician I, II or III to splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic cables in field installations.

The role supports the Construction department and reports to the Foreman or Construction Manager. The technician will perform end-to-end fiber work including testing with OTDRs and power meters, reading prints, organizing cables, and ensuring safety on outdoor sites.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; FOA CFOT preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and splice drawings; color identification.
• OSHA 10 or higher; willingness to maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• End-of-Line Testing: verify light levels and signal balance.
• Cable prep and labeling for clean installation.
• Build fiber cases and enclosures for protection.
• Splice fibers by color matching; manage multiple cables.
• Organize cables inside enclosures; ensure neat routing.
• Seal and secure fiber enclosures to protect equipment.
• Read prints/maps; follow splice matrices and redlines.
• Route jumps and trays; connect jumper cables as needed.
• Perform OTDR and power-meter based line tests.
