Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an EMT-B to join the transport team in Pennsylvania. You will provide Basic Life Support level patient care and operate emergency vehicles in accordance with state EMS laws and regional protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests in assigned work area.
• Abides by all Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Laws.
• All personnel must use seatbelts when vehicle is in motion.
• Provides Basic Life Support level of patient care.
• Assists with routine vehicle and equipment survey and maintains preparedness for response.
• Participates in orientation of new hires and provides preceptorships as assigned.
• Participates in patient safety improvement and management program.
• Identifies processes that could lead to errors and adverse events.
• Follows organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participates in patient safety education programs and related activities.
