Job summary

Campbell County Health is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to assess, plan, and implement pre-hospital care and transportation to medical facilities. The role involves collaboration with MD/RN staff within Wyoming scope of practice and with the EMS Medical Director and EMS Manager.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation in the WATRS system, vehicle operation, and ensuring readiness of ambulances and stations.

Qualifications

• Wyoming Office of EMS AEMT license is required; National Registry preferred.
• Certified Emergency Vehicle Operations – Ambulance within 1 year of employment.
• Minimum of one year as an EMT with a licensed ambulance service.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical and trauma patient assessments, establishes care priorities, and renders necessary care.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and collaborates with other providers for pre-hospital care and transport.
• Coordinates with EMS Shift Supervisor and/or Lead Medic to complete EMS staff duties and assignments.
• Accurately documents assessments and treatments using the WATRS system per Wyoming statutes.
• Operates ambulances in accordance with laws and maintains a driving record for insurance coverage.
• Maintains ambulances and station readiness; participates in routine maintenance.
• Assists with medical treatment of patients in other CCH departments as needed under supervision.
