Job summary

EmergyCare seeks a full-time Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) in Erie to provide basic pre-hospital emergency care and transport patients to appropriate facilities. The AEMT evaluates patients, relays information to medical command, and may perform interventions per PA DOH protocols.

He/she assists with supervising EMS students and ensures readiness of EMS equipment and vehicles. Candidates must hold PA AEMT certification, BLS-CPR, and EV Driving Training, with a high school diploma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current PA AEMT certification and recognition.
• Current BLS-CPR certification required.
• Emergency Vehicle Drivers Training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic pre-hospital emergency care and transport patients to medical facilities.
• Perform patient assessments and relay information to receiving facilities and medical command.
• Supervise/assist EMS students, EMTs and other personnel as directed.
• Maintain readiness of ALS/BLS equipment and ambulances.
• Adhere to PA DOH EMS Scope of Practice and established protocols.
