ESPO Corporation is seeking an experienced Advanced Electronics Test & Repair Technician in Chicago, IL. Onsite, temp-hire position focusing on board-level repair, detailed testing, and prototype support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics.
• 3+ years of electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
• Strong soldering and board-level repair skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply and other test gear.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded electronics, and common protocols (RS-232/485, Ethernet, USB).
• Regulatory testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, solder, rework, test, and repair electronic assemblies and PCBs.
• Perform analog, digital, RF, and power electronics testing.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose circuit card assemblies down to the component level.
• Repair failed boards through component replacement and solder rework.
• Build and support prototypes, test fixtures, and production test equipment.
• Conduct product validation and regulatory testing activities (FCC, CE, UL, EMC/EMI).
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
• Document test results, repairs, and corrective actions.
• Support engineering and manufacturing teams with technical issues.

Advanced Electronics Test & Repair Technician

Job Type and Duration: Onsite, Temp-Hire

Pay range: $60.00 - $80.00

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Test & Repair Technician with strong board-level troubleshooting and repair skills. This position will support product testing, prototype development, regulatory compliance activities, and advanced circuit card assembly (CCA) diagnostics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex electronic failures and restoring non-functional boards to working condition.
