Job summary
NC State University Facilities invites experienced Electronics Specialist – Advanced to join the Central Utility Plant team in Raleigh. You'll troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and repair electronic, electromechanical, and digital control systems supporting boilers, chillers, pumps, fuel systems, and cooling towers, using both hardware and software tools.
This role emphasizes independent judgment, safe operations, and proactive problem solving, with opportunities to develop innovative testing
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent training/experience.
- Experience with thermal plant equipment and digital control systems.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and digital control systems for plant equipment.
- Perform advanced maintenance, testing, calibration, and repair of control systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to support safe and reliable operations.
- Provide technical consultation and recommendations to leadership.
