Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando seeks an Emergency Department Multi Technician Licensed Paramedic to provide clinical support and patient transport in a fast-paced ED. You will assist physicians and nurses, perform venipuncture/IV access, and monitor cardiac activity with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Clinical competence in emergency or paramedic practice is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements is required.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals is required.
• Calm, focused under stressful situations, with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent patient-centric, compassionate customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English; good comprehension.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Transports unmonitored patients to inpatient departments and escorts monitored patients.
• Assists physicians or nurses with procedures and exams; sets up and cleans up after procedures.
• Performs hourly rounding; ensures patient comfort and caregiver visibility.
• Observes IV sites, performs venipuncture and IV/IO access as directed; initiates oxygen therapy.
• Monitors cardiac activity and reports abnormalities to the nurse/physician.
• Performs accurate order entry and delivers age-appropriate patient care.
• Champions customer service by keeping patients informed and compassionate.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines and PPE usage; upholds safety regulations.
