Job summary
International Paper is hiring an E&I Maintenance Technician III for its Binghamton Container facility in Conklin, NY. You will be the go-to expert keeping instrumentation and electrical systems production-ready.
You will troubleshoot, configure, and maintain PLC systems, install and calibrate SMART instruments, repair valves and actuators, and uphold NFPA70E safety standards while supporting reliable operations across shifts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of instrumentation and electrical experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfort working in industrial conditions with PPE.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain PLC systems and single-loop controls.
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment.
- Repair final control elements: pneumatic/electric valves, solenoids; calibrate pneumatic and SMART valve positioners.
- Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems; troubleshoot drives; repair 480V–13.8kV power distribution switchgear.
