Job summary

International Paper is hiring an Electronic Technician/Mechanic A at the Manson Container plant to maintain and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will test equipment, read schematics, perform preventive maintenance and maintain records in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires troubleshooting expertise, PLC programming, and the ability to work shifts and overtime.

Qualifications

• Vocational or specialized training in electronics/industrial maintenance or 3+ years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
• 3 years minimum experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
• Computer experience and PLC programming required.
• Ability to utilize a laptop for analyzing and troubleshooting.
• High precision with close tolerances; able to climb overhead structures and work in tight spaces.
• Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment per safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including PLCs.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and drawings.
• Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records.
• Coordinates multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.
