Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to support DIY customers with expert knowledge of store systems, parts and automotive diagnostics. You will provide GAS2 selling, handle parts lookup, and perform DIY services like battery installations and wiper replacements while upholding high customer-service and store-appearance standards.

This full-time role requires 3–5 years of automotive parts experience, a valid driver’s license, and ASE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience and proven sales ability.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of store systems and parts lookup; able to use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customers in-store and on the phone.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation and wiper replacements; ensure safety and accuracy.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Act as key holder, performing opening/closing duties and task assignments.
• Assist in inventory processes: stocking, cycle counts, and back stock management.
• Ensure store cleanliness and proper floor, restroom, and parking lot upkeep.
• Operate POS and parts lookup systems; use diagnostic equipment as needed.
