Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to support DIY customers with expert parts knowledge and advanced store-system use. This role emphasizes diagnostic capability, parts sourcing, and top-tier customer service, including battery testing and wiper installations while maintaining inventory accuracy.

The job is full-time and requires 3–5 years of automotive parts experience; ASE certification is preferred. A valid driver's license is required, and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience.
• Able to perform DIY services such as battery testing and wiper installations.
• Strong knowledge of store inventory and parts sourcing.
• Must have a valid driver's license; ASE certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards.
• Key holder responsibilities (task assignment and completion, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Operate inventory systems and store equipment.
