Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an Engineer to support ADMS systems within the Transmission Operations organization. Responsibilities include design, testing, and enhancements of core ADMS applications, as well as integration with SCADA and reliability reporting.

Candidates should have a BS in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical engineering (ABET) and FE or PE, with 2–5 years of engineering experience. On-site role based in FirstEnergy operating area; relocation or approval may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or an equivalent advanced degree.
• Alternative: Engineering Technology degree with ABET accreditation plus advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement ADMS functionality and integrations.
• Support ADMS releases, testing, and troubleshooting with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with IT, DCC, and field operations to align systems and processes.
• Assist with monitoring and maintenance of SCADA integrations and real-time powerflow features.

Education

ABET-accredited Electrical/Civil/Mechanical Engineering degree

FE Certificate

PE License (optional)

Engineering Technology degree + ABET or advanced degree (non-ABET)
