Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp seeks an Engineer for the Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) group to design, test, and implement ADMS functionality across OMS, DMS, real-time powerflow, and distribution automation. The role requires collaboration with IT, DCC, reliability reporting, field operations, and vendors to ensure robust, safe, and compliant system enhancements.

The engineer will support new releases, document testing procedures, and assist with monitoring and troubleshooting of ADMS

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent professional credentials.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate preferred.
• Engineering experience in electrical infrastructure or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance ADMS tools including real-time powerflow and voltage optimization.
• Work with IT, field ops, DCC, vendors and stakeholders on configurations and enhancements.
• Document testing, troubleshooting, and product enhancements; assist with releases.
• Provide on-call support during normal and storm events.
• Ensure safety and adherence to process across ADMS implementations.
• Assist with monitoring, diagnostics and reliability reporting.
