Job summary

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – Ultrasound Specialist to perform and analyze highly complex ultrasound examinations across diverse clinical areas, tailoring procedures to patient needs. The role includes on-site work with variable shifts, a 4x10 hour schedule, and on-call duties.

Applicants must have a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound program and ARDMS registration in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound, plus at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diagnostic ultrasound program accredited by CAAHEP and ARDMS registration.
• Two years of experience performing the work of a diagnostic medical sonographer.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs Doppler and spectral analysis of organs and transplants in high-risk obstetrics, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, and related areas.
• Performs non-invasive ultrasound examinations, monitors patient condition, and provides CPR if necessary.
• Operates PACS, ultrasound workstations, HIS, and RIS; prints and retrieves images and follows downtime procedures.
