Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center – Montlake seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Specialist for per diem rotating/variable shifts. You will perform Doppler and comprehensive ultrasound exams across obstetrics, abdomen, and transplants, while coordinating with PACS/RIS/HIS systems.

Requirements include an accredited ultrasound program, ARDMS registration in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound, and at least two years of experience in diagnostic sonography.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.
• ARDMS registration in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound.
• Two years of diagnostic ultrasound experience or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform Doppler and spectral analysis of organs and transplants.
• Conduct non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound examinations and monitor patient status.
• Operate PACS/HIS/RIS systems and document results accurately.
• Review patient records and referrals; prepare and position patients for examinations.
• Assist with intraoperative ultrasound procedures and guidance for needle interventions.
