Job description

I.General Summary:
Work within Advanced Development Department in a team environment to conduct market research, technical validation, and new product development of interior systems for mobility space.

II. Essential Job Functions:

A.Work in team to conduct market research and trend analysis with guidance from supervisor.

B.Support development of Proof of Concept (POC) with guidance from supervisor.

C.Coordinate communications and support programs by providing benchmarking data to design and other functional teams.

D.Recommend benchmarking, research, and product strategies for improvement based on approved department goals and objectives.

E.Self-learn and work on new technologies to develop systems/products for mobility interior space.

F.Support Team with department initiatives

G.Attend conference and seminar to gather insight, trends, and develop networking.

H.Work in a collaborative environment to take an idea from inception to production integration.

I.Attend technical seminars, webinars, and exhibitions to identify trends and latest technology to integrate or develop cost effective solutions to existing products.

J.Create concepts and proposals to align with company future strategy.

K.Conduct due diligence on startups and create report for decision making.

L.Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide insights.

M.Generate new ideas, concepts, visualize and make proposals

N.Support team with planning documentation, presentation preparation, and research reports.

III.Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Education:

·Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, or Computer Engineering/Computer Science

Experience:

·Entry to four (4) years of relevant experience

·Automotive experience preferred

·Solid working knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.).

·Knowledge in programming is preferred. (Python, Unity, C, C++, etc.)

·Knowledge in ML/AI is preferred

·Knowledge of CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc..) is preferred.

·Knowledge of Electronic/Circuit design and analysis software (Eagle, Simulink, CANalyzer, etc.) preferred.

IV.Work Environment/Conditions:

Office: Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.

Plant: N/A

Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time.

V.Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to lift, move, and carry up to 30 pounds.
