The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Dental Assistant - Advanced to support the Periodontology clinic in Chapel Hill, NC. The role involves preparing the clinic, sterile tray setup, assisting with a range of restorative and surgical procedures, and documenting pre- and post-op vitals.

You will train dental, dental hygiene, and graduate students in clinical practice and maintain asepsis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and completion of an accredited dental assisting program, or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience in dental practice or healthcare settings with patient interaction preferred.
• Strong communication with patients, providers, students, and staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare clinic and set up trays using sterile techniques.
• Assist with restorative and surgical procedures and document pre/post-op vitals.
• Provide chairside assistance to students, residents and faculty; expose and process radiographs.
