Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Dental Assistant training program.
• Two years' experience as a chair side Dental Assistant in an Advanced Specialty OR three years' experience total.
• Certification by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry for Radiological Proficiency.
• New hires will complete BLS from AHA during onboarding.
• Must have worked as a dental assistant in an advanced specialty within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support to dentists, dental students, or dental hygienists.
• Prepare workstation, instruments, and materials; escort patients to the workstation.
• Exposes radiographs for dental diagnostic purposes.
• Sterilizes and wraps instruments; cleans operatory between patients.
• Reviews post-operative instructions with patients.
• Maintains operatory equipment and ensures supplies are stocked for patient care.
