Themis Insight, LLC. is hiring a Data Scientist to work in the Fort Meade, MD vicinity. The position supports analytic developments across difficult business and national security data challenges.

The role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and a strong background in mathematics, statistics, ML, and data science. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with data processing, modeling, and communication of complex results to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; an Associate’s degree with 5 years may be considered.
• Degree in Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, ML, Data Science or CS (or related field with strong math/CS coursework).
• Experience in ML, data mining, statistical analysis, and data management for large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to extract meaning from large datasets.
• Communicate principled conclusions using math, statistics, CS and domain knowledge.
• Develop and implement quantitative methods for characterizing data quality and structure.
• Translate mission needs into technical requirements and communicate results to non-technical audiences.
