Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, or computer science from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of relevant analytics experience; five years programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
• A Master's degree may substitute for two years of experience; PhD may substitute for four years; additional substitutions for twelve years total experience are possible.

Responsibilities

• Produce data visualizations that provide insight into dataset structure and meaning.
• Collaborate with SMEs to extract information from data formats (SQL tables, structured metadata, network logs).
• Develop feature vectors for analytic development and testing.
• Translate qualitative goals into quantitative formulations coded into prototypes.
• Develop and implement statistical, machine learning, and heuristic techniques for descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Develop statistical tests to support data-driven recommendations.
• Develop experiments to collect data or simulate data when needed.
• Evaluate analytics performance using standard metrics such as ROC, confusion matrices.
• Collaborate with software engineers and cloud developers to productionize analytics.
