Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care within the surgical setting. The role involves assessing and planning anesthesia care, and documenting accurate medical records, in a comprehensive patient-focused environment.

The CRNA will monitor patients under anesthesia, collaborate with attending physicians, and participate in quality improvement efforts while adhering to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• PA RN licensure in PA or eNLC required.
• Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements anesthetic management for anesthesia patients.
• Provides continuous observation of patients under anesthesia and alerts attending physician for plan changes.
• Participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to nursing ethical standards and regulatory safety requirements.
• Serves as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary care team and mentors staff or students.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
