Job summary

Dignity Health - Methodist Hospital in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide comprehensive respiratory care across neonate to geriatric patients. Requires CA RCP license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS with five years of acute care experience incl. critical care. Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved respiratory therapy program.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or Health Sciences.
• Credentialed by NBRC Advanced Critical Care Specialty, Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist, or Certified/Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in California.
• Five years acute care experience with one year in critical care; training positions possible if needed.
• RCP: CA license.
• BLS from AHA.
• ACLS.
• PALS.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and monitors mechanical ventilation per protocol or physician orders.
• Perfoms arterial blood gas sampling with infection control.
• Extubates patients per ICU protocol or physician orders.
• Provides comprehensive patient reports at shift changes.
