Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Associate degree from an accredited school.
• Graduate of a respiratory care program required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in the healthcare field preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license for California.
• Must hold a current CPR/BLS and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and policies.
• Adhere to community policies and procedures.
• Conduct focused interviews to identify patient needs.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and suspected diagnoses.
• Plan outcomes of care for assigned patients.
• Perform interventions per plan of care and policies.
• Follow emergency, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Promote good interpersonal communications.
• Report and document changes in respiratory status to supervising clinicians.
