Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a CMM Programmer – Level 2 in the United States to join the Quality organization on-site.

The role focuses on CMS programming, CAD modeling from drawings, and process improvements in a high-precision aerospace environment. The position reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor and requires strong CMS, CAD, and CMM skills, with leadership responsibilities for project work and mentoring Inspectors and Programmers.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in CMS programming.
• Expert CAD skills.
• Expert level CMM programming knowledge (CMM Manager, DMIS) and related software/hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Experience leading and coaching other employees.

Responsibilities

• Program CMS online or offline from CAD model or drawing.
• Create solid CAD model from drawing.
• Troubleshoot and prove out new product and/or program.
• Make recommendations for and/or create new processes to improve quality, velocity, efficiency or cost.
• Interface with customers and suppliers (internal and external).
• Train Inspectors and Quality Programmers in CMS operation and programming.
• Frequently take on a leadership role with regard to new product development and/or projects.
• May perform the responsibilities of the CMM Programmer I and/or the Quality Inspector IV positions.
