Job summary

Division of Child and Family Services seeks a Casework Management Specialist III for Family First Prevention Services across Elko, Fallon, Fernley or Yerington offices. You’ll conduct thorough assessments, determine FFPSA eligibility, and coordinate referrals to providers.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of casework experience, or equivalent. Duties include safety planning, documentation, and collaboration with courts and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social science or human services related field and two years of professional casework experience; OR one year as CMS II or Social Worker II in Nevada State service; OR equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement case and safety plans for clients to support safety, permanency, and well-being.
• Assess clients using agency tools to identify social service needs and rights and responsibilities.
• Coordinate referrals to FFPSA providers and collaborate with community-based partners.
• Monitor progress and reassess eligibility over time; close or transition cases as needed.
• Document case activities and prepare reports for courts and agencies; participate in multidisciplinary teams.
