Job summary

State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist I underfill for FFSPA in several Nevada offices. The CMS will screen and assess families to determine FFPSA eligibility, coordinate referrals to community providers, and engage families in services.

The role includes developing case and safety plans, tracking eligibility over time, and ensuring IV-E compliance while collaborating with courts, schools, and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in fields related to social work or human services.
• Basic understanding of conducting thorough assessments of families at case-specific times.
• Ability to screen, evaluate, and assess youth and families for FFPSA eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and provide assessments for youth and families to determine FFPSA eligibility.
• Coordinate referrals to FFPSA providers and build partnerships with community providers.
• Engage families in services, track eligibility over time, and transition cases as needed.
• Assess ongoing safety threats and adhere to IV-E requirements.
• Participate in statewide Child and Family Services reviews when eligible.
• May complete ICPC home studies and provide courtesy supervision of placements.
• Develop and implement case plans and safety plans with stakeholders.
• Document activities and prepare reports for courts and agencies.
