Job summary

Orlando Health South Lake Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for its Rapid Response Team. The role requires caring for patients with high-acuity needs in an acute care setting, with days 7am-7pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year of RN experience required; 1-2 years ICU or ED RN experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement for complex patient care and high-intensity interventions.
• Monitors and interprets patient data, including electronic displays and vital signs.
• Develops and revises individualized care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdepartmental teams to manage unit care.
• Documents care accurately and maintains regulatory standards while prioritizing patient safety.
• Acts as patient/family advocate and mentors others as needed.
