Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners is seeking an Advanced Care Practitioner for Primary Care. This part-time role focuses on routine visits, follow-ups, and minor procedures, with collaboration under a supervising physician. Telemedicine and patient advocacy are integral parts of the job.

Requirements include accredited PA/NP training, NC licensure (PA or NP), DEA license, prescriptive authority eligibility, BLS certification, and vaccination/testing compliance. Experience of 1+ year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program with appropriate certification exams.
• Has and maintains current Physician Assistant license with the North Carolina Medical Board or Nurse Practitioner license with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Eligible for prescriptive authority through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC.
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHA or American Red Cross required with expiration date greater than 90 days from start date.
• Hepatitis B vaccine and flu vaccine form completed; vaccination may be declined with record or declination form.
• TB test will be required.

Responsibilities

• Seeing all patients of Tryon Medical Partners.
• Performing initial and periodic medical history and physical examinations.
• Recording findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
• Performing minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
• Performing telemedicine services.
• Writing appropriate prescriptions and administering medications.
• Responding to patient inquiries and requests.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determining treatment plan for patient.
• Documenting all patient encounters in the medical record.
• Consulting with supervising physician as necessary.
• Working with broader care team to provide services to patients.
• Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Attending and contributing to group/practice meetings and policy development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: This individual will function independently in collaboration with a supervisingphysician. The emphasis is on routine office visits, minor office-basedproceduresand follow-up visits with the patient population.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

• Seeingall patientsofTryon Medical Partners.

1. Education and Certifications
